Drone regulations in the Ukraine

Ukraine has only latish published rules for the operation of drones. It looks like the legislative process is not yet finalized. Currently, the following conditions apply. When traveling through Ukraine with a copter, you should expect that the legal situation can change short-term.

Maximum flight altitude: In the Ukraine, you can control your drone up to a height of 100 meters above ground.

Maximum horizontal distance and FPV: Multicopters can only be operated in direct line of sight in the Ukrainian airspace.

Compulsory insurance: We recommend that you complete a copter policy.

Maximum take-off weight (MTOW): Currently no weight limits are known to me.

Distance to airports: A safety distance of 5 kilometers (3 miles) must be observed to airports.

Other safe distances: Your copter should not fly closer than 50 meters to uninhabited persons, animals, buildings and foreign land.

Flight bans: The operation of drones is strictly forbidden over moving vehicles and gatherings of people.

Regulations for commercial pilots: In Ukraine, there are no additional requirements for commercial pilots.
